Today in our EDU 3040 class we took our weekly 40 question quiz over chapter 6 in our textbook. After completing this task, we went over technology integration and the learning process. There were many free websites that are available for use by anyone that is interested in the learning process. Some of the things that we learned in class were how to use these websites in the classroom to facilitate learning. We learned that using a blog as well as a classroom newsletter that we can keep the students as well as the parents updated on the day-to-day happenings in class. We also learned that the best strategy for using technology in the classroom is a well-trained teacher that will apply these newly gained skills to help his or her students. We also made sample newsletters for our "classroom" and translated it into Spanish for the benefit of the ESL and ELL students and their parents.
